2 comments It may not be familiar to anyone outside the food service industry, but when someone refers to the term “away from home food service”, what they are really saying is anywhere you would eat that is not in your home. For example, a restaurant, a cafeteria, etc. The grocery store, for example, is most often not thought of in this category because they are selling food to you for the home preparation. There are exceptions when a grocery store also has an area where you can purchase lunch or something of that nature in the way of a prepared food with no intent to be taken...
